HOPE Pathways

Helping with Redirection

We recognize many returning citizens have difficulty socially adapting and reintegrating into society. Through cognitive redirection and evidence-based programs, returning citizens develop skills necessary to avoid self-defeating behaviors that will lead to reoffending. This foundation prepares them to begin taking the steps toward long-term optimal outcomes for themselves, their families, and law-abiding citizens.

Occupational Training

Within our HOPE Career Pathways training model, each pathway is designed to provide valuable skills while developing a work ethic that can transfer to the workplace. Our occupational training provides opportunities for participants to earn portable, industry-recognized credentials and certifications that lead to employment in high-growth, family-supporting careers in the state of Mississippi and beyond.

Preparation to Transition

Prior to release, the HOPE staff ensures all necessary assessments, including the HOPE Plan, have been completed. Additionally, each returning citizen is provided with resources that ensures inmates are ready to transition out of custody and integrate back into society. Each participant is assigned a Coordinator that creates and sustains healthy relationships as they prepare for release. The HOPE staff ensures each returning citizen has access to post-release services and resources in the community.

Exit to Employment

For many returning citizens, securing employment remains a societal barrier, contributing to the state’s recidivism rate. The HOPE Staffing Agency maintains strong public-private partnerships with employers willing to provide these individuals with on-going opportunities. Once they have been placed into employment opportunities, the HOPE staff provides follow-up and works closely with their supervising agent. In addition to career pathways, the HOPE Alliance provides a wide array of post-release wraparound services designed to reduce barriers that impede reentry efforts and vocational success.
